Jeffro, you told
me in a separate note that you write mainly for those that have not
experienced our way of life here on the plains. I have lived here
most of my life. Your article makes me feel a close kinship with
what you are trying to get across. I think those that read this
that have left the area will gain a renewed vision of our love of SW
Kansas and why they venture back on occasion, both physically and
mentally, to enjoy it once again. Great job, I hope for future
articles from you as well as The Marshal. Pete Thomas. |
Jeffro.... Aka Baybeee .
What a great piece of writing, I could picture in my mind every word you
wrote, from the weather, to farming, the hawks waiting for a meal, the
herons dodging in the nick of time impalement. But what touched my heart the most, is that farming is in your blood, and you shall do it til your time comes, and then you will be ready. Jeffro this is an awesome piece of writing, the descriptions are so accurate about everything from the moths in the house to the wind blowing the trees and tumbleweeds. Thanks Professor Pete for the guess authors, I believe you mad a couple of vert good choices!! Love it!!!!! Becki Jo (TAYLOR) |
