Pearl “Pat” Litton, 73, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, April 18, 2001.  Pat was born in Cimarron, Kansas, on July 15, 1927 and graduated from Cimarron High School, Class of 1945.  She was the daughter of Robert and Pearl Reeves.  While growing up in Cimarron she enjoyed being in the school band.  Four of her brothers and three of her children also graduated from Cimarron High School.

Her parents homesteaded in Meade County in 1905 and later moved to Cimarron in 1921, where Robert operated a blacksmith shop until his retirement in 1937.

Mrs. Litton had been a resident of Amarillo since 1969.

She dedicated many years of service to the U.S. Postal Service.  Working for the Post Office in both Cimarron and Amarillo.  She retired from the post office in 1996.

She was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1475.

Additionally, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church while in Cimarron and a a member of the Rolling Hills Riding Club in Amarillo TX.

She is survived by her first husband, Clifford Watchous of Milton Florida; her second husband, James Litton of Amarillo; her son, Douglas Watchous of Turlock, California; and five daughters: Roberta “Bobi” Giglio, Cindy Folk, and Cathi Doane, all of Amarillo, Sandra Watchous of Hays, Kansas, and Patricia Brandon of Houston. She is also survived by two stepsons, Rod Litton and Dwight Litton, both of Connecticut; two stepdaughters, Cheryl Campbell and Denise Litton of Oroville, California; and a foster child, Berlina Young.  Additionally, she leaves behind 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Llano Cemetery with Hank Swanson, pastor of Pentecostal Church of God in Christ, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle.
