Memorial Day List
Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States for honoring and mourning the U.S. military personnel who have died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.
36 individuals who lived in Gray County Kansas at some point during their short lives, made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the United States Armed Forces. While some resided here briefly, most grew up in the community. Nine of them graduated from Cimarron High School.
This list has been compiled with the help of many contributors, and I extend my sincere gratitude to all who assisted, especially Sara McFarland for her valuable support.
If you believe someone who died in service has been overlooked, please send their name along with as many details as possible. Again, this list is only for those who lived in Gray County, KS.
The names are organized by date of death, starting with the most recent. Each entry includes the date of death, age, hometown, branch of service, and rank.
I plan to add a more detailed page for each individual. Just click on the name to see the page. (Links will become active as pages are completed.) If anyone can share pictures or information on any of these individuals, it would be appreciated. Also, if you notice any info that is not correct please let me know. Thanks
