Mandi Lee (McPhail) Steele



Mandi Lee (McPhail) Steele, 41, died Monday, Jan. 23, 2006, at Rockwall, Texas.

 

She was born Oct. 17, 1964, to Clifton and Virginia (Deewall) McPhail at Greensburg.  She married Robert Steele on Jan. 2, 1988,

at Ingalls.  He survives.  She graduated from Cimarron High School and Kansas State University. She was a teacher at

Dodge City Middle School and was currently teaching at Soule Intermediate Center,  Dodge City.

 

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Dodge City and Pi Beta Phi.  Other survivors include two daughters,

Jessie and Jamie Steele, both of the home; one son, Jarrett Steele, of the home; her parents, Cimarron; two brothers,

Max McPhail and wife, Cathy, Andale, and Matt McPhail and wife, Jenny, Grapevine, Texas; and three sisters, Marci Robertson

and husband, Ryan, Rockwall, Melissa Miller and husband, Mike, Montezuma, and Marla Byer and husband, Jay, Peoria, Ariz.

 

A vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Dodge City, with the Rev. Wesley Schawe presiding.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church, Dodge City, with the Revs. Todd Guinn and

Lance Carrithers presiding. Burial will follow at the Ford Cemetery.
